Summer Quality Assurance Assistant Contract

About the Role:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, the Summer Quality Assurance Assistant will work in an office setting and support a variety of quality assurance and compliance activities. This role is ideal for an individual interested in social services, policy development and person-centred supports, and offers valuable experience in a non-profit environment.

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant and is open to one (1) summer contract.

  • Start Date: June 2, 2026
  • End Date: August 21, 2026
  • Duration: 12 weeks (full-time, summer contract)

What You Will be Doing:

  • Assist with the development and review of policies and resources
  • Support Person-Centred Thinking training materials and documentation
  • Assist with compliance activities related to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services
  • Support report writing, record keeping and documentation
  • Provide general administrative and quality assurance support as needed

Who Can Apply?

To meet Canada Summer Jobs Grant eligibility requirements, applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been granted/conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Be legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations
  • Not able to have more than one Canada Summer Jobs position at one time
  • Have an interest in policy development in a not-for-profit setting
  • Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in one of the following areas (an asset):
    • Educational Assistant
    • Adult Supports
    • Autism Behavioural Science
    • Disabilities Studies
    • Psychology
    • Sociology
    • Social Work or Social Service Worker

What We are Looking For:

  • Have an interest in supporting adults who have intellectual disabilities
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information professionally
  • Satisfactory Police Clearance (18 years and older)

Salary: $18.60 per hour, 35 hours per week, 12 weeks total
