Summer Quality Assurance Assistant Contract

About the Role:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, the Summer Quality Assurance Assistant will work in an office setting

and support a variety of quality assurance and compliance activities. This role is ideal for an individual interested in

social services, policy development and person-centred supports, and offers valuable experience in a non-profit

environment.

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant and is open to one (1) summer contract.

Start Date: June 29, 2026

End Date: August 28, 2026

Duration: 10 weeks (full-time, in-person, summer contract)

What You Will be Doing:

Assist with the development and review of policies and resources

Support Person-Centred Thinking training materials and documentation

Assist with compliance activities related to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services

Support report writing, record keeping and documentation

Provide general administrative and quality assurance support as needed

This is an on-site position with no ability to work remotely

Who Can Apply?

To meet Canada Summer Jobs Grant eligibility requirements, applicants must:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment

Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been granted/conferred

under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

Be legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations

Not able to have more than one Canada Summer Jobs position at one time

What We are Looking For:

Have an interest in supporting adults who have intellectual disabilities

Have an interest in policy development in a not-for-profit setting

Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in one of the following areas (an asset):

o Educational Assistant

o Adult Supports

o Autism Behavioural Science

o Disabilities Studies

o Psychology

o Sociology

o Social Work or Social Service Worker

Strong written communication and organizational skills

Ability to work with confidential information professionally

Satisfactory Police Clearance (18 years and older)

Salary: $18.60 per hour, 35 hours per week, 10 weeks total
