Your Impact
In this role, you will take ownership of recruitment and training while contributing to broader HR initiatives. You will:
• Drive full-cycle recruitment with a focus on quality hires, efficiency, and a strong candidate experience
• Lead the design and delivery of engaging onboarding and training programs that support retention and performance
• Identify opportunities to enhance recruitment strategies and learning programs through innovation and continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate, timely records within HRIS and learning systems to support data-driven decisions
• Act as a collaborative HR team member, stepping in to support team priorities and organizational needs
• Build strong relationships across the agency and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture

Your Experience & Skills
• Proven experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle
• Experience developing and delivering training programs and presentations
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience with HRIS and learning management systems (Surge Learning is an asset)
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, Canva, Dayforce, and Staff Schedule Care
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
Qualifications
• Human Resources Management Diploma (minimum requirement)
• 1–2 years of HR experience
Working knowledge of employment-related legislation, including: Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, WSIB Act, Labour Relations Act, Immigration, Training and Skills Development
• Valid driver’s license with minimum $1 million liability insurance
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Police Check
Work Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in-office (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Flexibility to work evenings as required to host/facilitate training
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting rate: $29.25 hourly
• Comprehensive employer paid Health & Dental benefits & pension
• Start date: ASAP
